LEAVE NO FOOTMARKS

Apologies I do not know the artist via internet

“The witnessing soul is like the sky.

The birds fly in the sky but they don’t leave any footmarks.  That’s what Buddha says, that the man who is awakened lives in such a way that he leaves no footmarks.  He is without wounds and without scars; he never looks back – there is no point.  He has lived that moment so totally that what is the need of looking back again and again?  He never looks ahead, he never looks back, he lives in the moment.” Osho

It seems this quote wants to be blogged about.  So here you have it.   The quote draws me back to a time when I was a bit frazzled and had started a morning ritual of journalling and reading daily Osho’s “No-Thought for the Day” quotes via http://www.osho.com.   This quote must have made an impression on me at the time, because I have copies of it everywhere, everywhere…

I know reading the Osho quotes every morning did help me with trying to live in the moment and not “looking back again and again” – I just maybe looked back once a day.

Today I start again.

    Likewise; I enjoy your reminders.

Ram Das phrased it beautifully “Be Here Now”. Yesterday is our wisdom, tomorrow inspires our dreams and being in the moment is kNOWing that NOW is the only TRUTH worth knowing…

That’s a beautiful quote, thank you! These little reminders do help become more … centred – in the now …

  6. Hi again, I just wanted to let you know I have nominated you for The Booker Award, a little blogging award focused (as far as I can gather) on books and writing.(just up your alley!) If you would like to accept and acknowledge (it’s optional) you can just go to my blog and copy the format – a little spiel on the importance of books in your life, 5 books/authors you love, and then nominate 5 other people.
